TikTok Will Donate $ 250 Million to Fight Coronavirus

TikTok is one of the most popular video sharing platforms in the world. The Chinese company recently announced a $ 250 million grant to combat the coronavirus situation.

TikTok said the grant will be used for health workers, education and social work. Tech companies like Google, Facebook, Netflix, Microsoft, Amazon, Twitter have recently made big strides in combating the coronavirus situation.

In a statement, TikTok President Alex Zhu said, “We are committed to participating in the global outpouring of mutual support and giving.”

“Looking at our community, I would like to translate it as a new relief to those most affected by the crisis.” He said.

TikTok says it will cost US $ 150 million to help health workers alone. The grant will be reached in India, Indonesia, Italy and South Korea.
